Telendos is a rare gem in the Dodecanese archipelago. An island where time is measured by boat crossings and the sun dipping behind the crags.
Experience the freedom of walking on paved paths, breathing pure air, and hearing nothing but the rhythmic pulse of the sea. A world-renowned destination for rock climbers, Telendos offers majestic sectors with breathtaking sea views, as well as hiking trails winding through ancient ruins. Just a short stroll from Villa Yvon, you will discover crystal-clear beaches (Hohlakas, Potha) and traditional tavernas serving the freshest seafood in the Aegean.

Enchanting Beaches
Hohlakas: Perhaps the most iconic beach on the island. With its large white pebbles and crystal-clear waters, it’s the ultimate spot to watch the sunset paint the cliffs in fiery orange hues.
Potha: Just a short stroll from the main village, featuring golden sand and calm waters—perfect for a full day of relaxation.
Paradise Beach: For those seeking total seclusion. Accessible via a short hiking trail, it offers tranquility and a true sense of freedom.
Aegean Flavors
Taste daily catches brought in every morning by local fishermen.
Don’t miss the traditional Mirmizeli salad (the local Kalymnian version of dakos) and our world-famous thyme honey.
Tip: Always ask for the "catch of the day" and enjoy your dinner with the sound of the waves right at your feet.
Activities & Experiences
Climbing with a View: Telendos hosts some of the world’s most spectacular climbing sectors (like Glaros or Irox). The panoramic views over the Aegean are simply breathtaking.
Hike to Agios Konstantinos: Follow the trail to the chapel of Agios Konstantinos. Walking among ancient ruins and the scent of wild sage is a spiritual experience.
The Legend of the Princess: Look at the silhouette of Telendos from Kalymnos at dusk. You will see the profile of the "Princess of Telendos" formed by the mountain ridges—a legend that has endured for centuries.
Pro Tips for your Stay
Bring Cash: While most tavernas accept cards, there is no ATM on the island (the nearest one is in Myrties, just across the water).
Walking Shoes: Even if you aren't a climber, a pair of comfortable sneakers will help you explore the island's scenic trails.
Star Gazing: With no cars and minimal light pollution, the night sky over Telendos is incredibly clear. Make sure to spend a night stargazing from the patio of Villa Yvon!
The Journey to serenity
Via Kos Island: Many guests choose to fly into Kos International Airport (KGS). From there, take a short taxi ride to Mastichari Port (10 mins) and catch the ferry to Kalymnos (a scenic 20-45 min crossing).
By Sea: Regular ferry services connect Piraeus (Athens) and neighboring Dodecanese islands to the main port of Kalymnos (Pothia).
From Myrties, traditional shuttle boats ("kaiki") depart for Telendos every 30 minutes. The crossing takes only 10 minutes and offers a breathtaking view of the island’s silhouette.
Luggage Assistance: We want your arrival to be effortless. Upon request, we will meet you at the Telendos pier to assist with your luggage and guide you to Villa Yvon.
